Acceleration g with Lego and Python

1o GENERAL LYCEUM OF AIGIO

Do you think Python programming is boring, full of math and strange symbols? Okay, you do not have too much wrong, but our students are here to travel with you on the creative side of it! And because the imagination has no limits, come to see that with the power of Robotics you can become a new Newton calculating the acceleration of gravity (g = 9.81 m / sec2). Through the Lego EV3 platform and the Python programming language, our school students will perform demonstrations of calculating g with different robotic devices built in projects within the school. At the same time, we will see in a direct way what happens with changes we make (i.e. what happens with g for objects with different weights, objects that fall from different heights), correcting chronic misconceptions that we have in mind. A game of experiments with interactive exhibits for the understanding of g that will make you love Physics, Robotics and programming even more! We are waiting for you to try, learn and get to know each other.
